UKAS Accreditation
UKAS (The United Kingdom Accreditation Service) is the only national accreditation body in the UK. Recognised by the government, it evaluates companies offering assessment services to ensure they meet both national and international standards. UKAS operates with complete impartiality, and its accreditation serves as a mark of credibility and quality for businesses.
UKAS accreditation means that the calibration has been conducted under strict conditions by a laboratory that has been formally assessed and accredited by UKAS to the ISO/IEC 17025 standard.
The calibration results are directly traceable to national or international standards, and the process, equipment, and procedures have all been rigorously audited by UKAS.
A UKAS certificate is issued, which is recognised internationally and confirms that the calibration was done in full compliance with the ISO/IEC 17025 standard.

Accreditation is a vital tool for ensuring quality, safety, and credibility. It offers our clients a wide range of benefits from compliance to increased market confidence
Our Key UKAS-Accredited Calibration Services
On-Site Calibration
On-site calibration is the process of calibrating equipment directly at its location of use. It includes making adjustments, verifying the accuracy of the instruments and ensuring their proper labelling and certification so they are ready for use.
Example timeline for Off-Site Calibration
By maintaining stringent internal controls, we can achieve a typical turnaround time of approximately 5 days for a five-point temperature calibration. This allows us to return your calibrated equipment within five days from the date it was sent to us, ensuring minimal downtime for your operations.

Other Calibration Services
Traceable Calibration
Traceable calibration means calibration is performed using equipment or standards that have themselves been calibrated by a UKAS-accredited lab, but the lab performing the calibration does not have UKAS accreditation for that specific calibration. A traceable certificate is issued, which confirms the calibration is linked to UKAS standards, but it does not carry the full weight of a UKAS-accredited calibration.
By maintaining traceability, any measurement discrepancies can be identified and corrected, providing confidence that the instruments meet the required performance specifications. This process is essential for industries where precision is critical, as it ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and enhances the overall quality and credibility of the calibration.
